The state Capitol Building in Sacramento, California was undergoing major outdoor renovations as work was underway on the east side starting to tear down an old annex building added in 1952. The new annex was expected to cost 1.2 billion. However, in December 2022 the courts halted the project over environment concerns and public outcry.
There is a makeshift entrance in the N Street side.
The front of the Capitol on 10th Street and the state seals are cleared for tourists & photo opportunities.
