Dear members of the Touring Community,
As the Museum and the touring community ramp up to support the busy spring season, we are seeing an increasing number of issues with tickets for our Permanent Exhibition. We are experiencing tour group leaders bringing invalid or incorrect tickets to be scanned; some tickets within the orders have even been duplicated and will not scan valid. We also have tour group leaders not bringing any tickets at all, but only the confirmation order number. If we don’t have a ticket (hard copy or electronic copy) we cannot scan it, and we cannot allow entry to any groups whose tickets cannot be scanned. To remedy this situation, Visitor Services staff will no longer accept invalid or duplicated tickets for entry. If a group or parties of individuals present invalid or duplicated tickets, they will be asked to step out of line and resolve the issue, or find another solution in securing tickets for that current time. As a reminder, it is the responsibility of the tour operators and tour guides to present valid tickets upon entry to the Permanent Exhibition in the Museum. They will still be welcome to visit the other non-ticketed exhibitions in the Museum. They also may inquire at the Information Desk about any free tickets available or purchase tickets for entry on the Museum’s website.
This email message is intended to alert and make members of the touring community aware of these issues with tickets, and to ensure that their clients are equipped with correct and necessary tickets for a successful visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
